Meet Kelli from Lino.
A few years after the Lino Lakes campus opened, a co-worker invited my husband and me to join him at church that weekend. We knew we wanted to be part of a church some day, but hadn’t found a good fit for us. Still, we decided to hear him out. He said he liked his church because he could apply each message to his personal and professional life. So we decided to give Eagle Brook a try; it was the first time we had been to church in more than five years.
Halfway through the service, I realized my co-worker was right. I didn’t realize what I had been missing! I loved the music, could apply the messages, and really enjoyed everything about Eagle Brook. We soon began to attend regularly. Now we attend that campus every weekend. I volunteer twice a month, am part of a small group led by my husband and was just recently baptized!
Through Eagle Brook, God has changed my outlook on life, strengthened my relationship with my husband and has begun using us to reach family and friends.
I feel like I’ve been given a mission to share my faith as I continue to learn and grow, even though faith wasn’t something I really grew up with. One of my best friends doesn’t know what she believes, but she’s been asking to go to church with me ever since her dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer.
Besides that, my involvement with church has opened the door to many discussions with friends about God and the Bible. So Eagle Brook is not only changing my life, but the lives of those who don’t even attend.
